Herman Miller has been making the case for ergonomic design since the 1940s, and the Aeron, Embody and Cosm are the chairs most often used as the benchmark others are measured against.
Which Herman Miller chair
The Aeron Remastered is the one most people mean when they say they want a Herman Miller. Its 8Z Pellicle mesh and PostureFit SL sacral support suit long sitting days in warm rooms, and it comes in three sizes rather than a single adjustable shell. Getting the size right matters more than any other decision with an Aeron — and it is sized primarily by height, not weight — so read our Aeron size guide first.
The Embody takes a different approach, with a pixelated support layer designed to distribute pressure and encourage micro movement, and it suits people who find mesh too firm. The Cosm is the one to look at for shared desks and hot desking, because its Auto-Harmonic tilt requires no adjustment at all. The Mirra 2 sits below all of them on price and is the most underrated chair we stock — it is the only one of the four with an adjustable seat depth, and our Mirra 2 review sets out who it suits and who should walk past it.
Genuine stock, and a 12-year warranty we service ourselves
There is a lot of counterfeit Herman Miller sold online in Australia. Ours is genuine Herman Miller product, brand new, and you are welcome to sit in it at our Pyrmont showroom before you buy. It is supplied as an international parallel import, which describes the supply route rather than the product: the chairs are the real thing, sourced outside Herman Miller's authorised Australian channel, so the cover on them is our own 12-year Chair Dinkum warranty rather than Herman Miller's. It runs across the frame, mechanism, gas lift, base, armrest structure and mesh, it is handled here in Sydney on 02 9640 0642, and the full terms are on our warranty page.
