RH is a Swedish-origin seating brand and, alongside HAG, one of the brands within the Norwegian Flokk group. Its territory is demanding seating — long hours, multi-shift sites and control rooms that never close — which is why the range here runs from everyday task chairs up to a chair approved for genuine 24/7 use.
The Secur24, and where the BMA name went
The chair most people come to this page for is the RH Secur24 (sold as the BMA Secur24 before BMA Ergonomics merged into RH on 1 January 2025). Flokk states that from that date the BMA brand name disappears and the Axia and 24/7 product names continue under the RH brand. It is certified to EN 1335, GS and BS 5459-2, and it is one of the RH chairs approved for 24/7 control-room use. If you were quoted a BMA Secur24, this is that chair under its current name. A number worth reading carefully
A capacity figure for the Secur24 well above RH's general limit circulates in pre-merger BMA literature and in reseller listings, and buyers sometimes arrive with it already written into a specification. We do not repeat it, because we cannot trace it to a current RH or Flokk document — and because a static load from testing and a certified maximum user weight are different measurements that should never be conflated. RH's published general maximum user weight is 150 kg. If a rated capacity has to survive a tender, ring us and we will get the current certified figure in writing from the supplier. Warranty
RH chairs carry a 10-year warranty at normal use of up to 9 hours a day, for users up to 150 kg. Separately, Flokk provides a 5-year warranty for RH chairs approved for 24/7 control-room use — the Secur24 is one — with upholstery excluded from the 24/7 term unless it is an RH approved 24/7 fabric.
