    How to choose your NUMO

    Start with the mode. Calls and short video calls: the NUMO Call, a 100 cm phone booth with a standing-height desk shelf. Hours of focused work: the NUMO Focus, 160 cm wide with a full-size desk and room for your own chair. Regular meetings of up to four: the NUMO Meet, 220 cm, with two facing sofas and a table included.

    Then check the footprint and door swing against your floor plan. Every NUMO pod is 2200 mm high and needs a power point within reach of its 3 m cord.

    Reading acoustic ratings

    ISO 23351-1 measures how much a pod reduces speech heard outside it, in decibels: the higher the number, the more private the pod. Every NUMO model has an independent third-party test report: 29.43 dB for the NUMO Call, 28.6 dB for the NUMO Meet and 27.07 dB for the NUMO Focus. No pod is completely soundproof.

    In New South Wales, Building Commission NSW practice advice treats an office pod as a room, so installing one is building work. Check with your certifier before you order.

    How soundproof are NUMO pods?

    No pod is completely soundproof. Every NUMO pod is tested under ISO 23351-1 with an independent third-party report: 29.43 dB speech level reduction for the NUMO Call, 28.6 dB for the NUMO Meet and 27.07 dB for the NUMO Focus. Conversation inside becomes hard to follow outside, and office noise is reduced for the people inside.

    What is the difference between the NUMO Call and the NUMO Focus?

    Both are for one person. The NUMO Call is the 100 cm phone booth, with a standing-height desk shelf, for calls and short work. The NUMO Focus is 160 cm wide with a full-size desk and room for your own chair, for hours of work.

    How many people fit in the NUMO Meet?

    Up to four, on two facing sofas (each 105 cm wide) around a 70 × 53 cm meeting table, both included. For one person working alone, the NUMO Focus is the better fit.

    Do NUMO pods need to be fixed to the building?

    No. They are freestanding and pre-assembled in modules. An optional seismic anchoring kit is available, and fire-service openings for sprinklers, EWIS speakers and smoke detectors can be specified at order.

    Can finishes be customised?

    The glass front comes in black or white, with a white (RAL 9016) or black (RAL 9005) exterior as standard. Light grey, green, salmon orange, traffic red and cobalt blue exteriors, a range of interior felt colours and birch or aluminium handles are available. Ask us about samples and lead time.

    What warranty do NUMO pods have?

    Five years, under the manufacturer’s published warranty terms. Chair Dinkum in Sydney handles every claim: 02 9640 0642. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are separate and not limited by it.
