Shipping Policy
At Chair Dinkum, we aim to make the delivery of your office chair or workplace furniture as simple, reliable, and transparent as possible. We ship Australia-wide and work with trusted freight and courier partners to get your order to you safely.
Shipping Locations
We deliver to most residential and business addresses across Australia.
Delivery is available to metropolitan, regional, and many remote areas. Some remote locations may require additional delivery time or may be subject to courier availability. If we are unable to deliver to your address, we will contact you as soon as possible after your order is placed.
Shipping Costs
Shipping is calculated separately based on the size, weight, destination, and delivery requirements of your order.
Because furniture items can vary significantly in size and handling requirements, shipping costs may differ between products and delivery locations. Any applicable shipping charges will be shown at checkout or confirmed with you before your order is dispatched.
Some oversized, bulky, regional, remote-area, or special-order items may require a custom freight quote. If this applies to your order, we will contact you before dispatch to confirm the shipping cost.
Chair Dinkum does not offer free shipping unless specifically stated in writing as part of a promotion or special offer.
Order Processing Times
Orders are usually processed during business hours, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
In-stock items are generally dispatched as quickly as possible after payment has been received and the order has been confirmed. If an item is made-to-order, special-order, out of stock, or supplied directly from a manufacturer or distributor, delivery timeframes may vary.
We will contact you if there are any significant delays with your order.

These timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by courier delays, public holidays, supplier lead times, peak periods, weather events, or other circumstances outside our control.
Delivery Method
Most items are delivered by courier or freight carrier. Depending on the product, your order may arrive boxed, flat-packed, partially assembled, or fully assembled.
To help reduce the risk of transit damage, some chairs may be shipped in protective outer packaging in addition to the manufacturer’s original packaging.
Delivery Address Requirements
Please ensure your delivery details are complete and accurate when placing your order.
For business addresses, please include the company name, floor, unit number, loading dock details, and any access instructions.
For residential addresses, please include any relevant information such as apartment number, gate code, preferred delivery instructions, or access restrictions.
Chair Dinkum is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
Authority to Leave
Some courier services may offer Authority to Leave, allowing your order to be left at the delivery address without a signature.
If you request Authority to Leave, you accept responsibility for the parcel once it has been delivered to the address provided. Chair Dinkum is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage after a delivery has been marked as delivered by the courier.
Missed Deliveries and Re-Delivery Fees
If no one is available to receive the delivery and the courier cannot safely leave the item, a re-delivery fee may apply.
Any re-delivery, storage, redirection, or cancellation fees charged by the courier or freight provider may be passed on to the customer.
Delivery Access
Large or heavy furniture items may require suitable access for delivery.
Please advise us before dispatch if your address has stairs, lifts, narrow access, loading dock requirements, restricted parking, or any other delivery limitations.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery is to the ground-floor entrance, building reception, loading dock, or kerbside point deemed accessible by the carrier. Couriers may not be able to carry bulky items upstairs, into rooms, or through difficult access points.
Pick-Up
Pick-up may be available by prior arrangement from our Sydney showroom or nominated collection point. Please contact us before placing an order if you would like to arrange collection.
Do not attend for pick-up until we have confirmed that your order is ready.
Damaged Items in Transit
We take care to package items securely, but damage can occasionally occur during transit.
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item appears damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

Please keep all original packaging until the matter has been resolved, as couriers may require it for assessment.
Incorrect or Missing Items
If you receive the wrong item or part of your order is missing, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photos of what was received. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.
Delays Outside Our Control
While we do our best to meet estimated delivery timeframes, delays can occur due to courier networks, supplier availability, public holidays, extreme weather, supplier lead times, or other events outside our control.
Chair Dinkum is not liable for losses, costs, or inconvenience caused by reasonable delivery delays.
