Commercial Fit-Outs

Kyoto task chairs at workstations beside the perimeter glazing at 400 George Street Sydney - Chair Dinkum

Specifying furniture for a fit-out is a different problem from buying a chair. You are working to a floor plan, a budget per head, a program with a hard handover date, and often a tender that wants documentation rather than marketing claims.

This page sets out what we supply and what we can provide for submissions. Chair Dinkum Pty Ltd is a registered supplier on the NSW Government buy.nsw supplier panel.

What we supply for commercial projects

Task seating

Across price points, from the Kyoto for volume floors through to Herman Miller and Humanscale for executive and specialist roles. The Kyoto is our own brand, so project pricing is available on request and improves with volume — see the Kyoto specification guide. For how to size and price seating at volume, see commercial office chairs at volume.

24/7 and control room chairs

Heavier duty gas lifts and mechanisms tested to higher cycle counts, for dispatch centres, security operations and emergency services.

Framery soundproof pods

We are an authorised Australian dealer. Single booths through to four person meeting pods.

Monitor arms

Single and dual arms across price points, from the Float range for volume floors through to the Humanscale M2.1, M8.1 and QuickStand.

Executive and boardroom seating

Full leather and premium wool options that still carry a genuine ergonomic mechanism underneath.

Whiteboards and coat racks

Mobile writing surfaces for project rooms, and reception coat stands from Offecct and Profim.

Flokk brands specified per project

We are the exclusive Australian distributor for the Flokk group. Three brands are quoted per project rather than sold from stock: Giroflex for Swiss ergonomic task seating including a 24-hour line, Offecct for Swedish soft seating, acoustic solutions and tables, and Profim for workplace seating across budgets. Send a floor plan and program dates for pricing and lead times.

Documentation for tenders

Most tender submissions fail on paperwork rather than product. We can supply, per model:

  • Structural warranty terms. These run from 5 to 15 years depending on the brand and on hours of use per day, so we supply the actual term for each model you specify rather than a single figure across the range.
  • Test and certification data, including BIFMA ratings and weight ratings where applicable.
  • Environmental Product Declarations and recycled content figures. Flokk publishes these per model rather than making general environmental claims, which is usually what a government or green building submission actually requires.
  • Acoustic performance figures for pods. If you are comparing pod suppliers, ask for the ISO 23351-1 speech level reduction figure rather than a general claim about soundproofing. Framery publishes ISO tested figures and meets Class A standards.

How we work on a project

Step one

Requirements and floor plan

Send us headcount, role mix, floor plan and program dates. Role mix matters more than headcount: a floor of eight hour desk workers and a 24 hour control room need different chairs, and specifying one chair for both is the most expensive mistake we see.

Step two

Sample evaluation

Samples at our Pyrmont showroom, or evaluation units to site for a user trial. For volume orders a trial is worth the delay: a chair a floor of people dislike gets replaced early.

Step three

Quote and documentation

Volume pricing, lead times, and the test and warranty documentation your submission needs.

Step four

Delivery and installation

Pods require site access planning and are installed by trained installers. Seating is delivered assembled and can be staged to match your program.
