The Mirra 2 was designed by Studio 7.5 in Berlin for people who never sit still. Its Loop Spine connects to the chair at only two points, so the back flexes torsionally and moves with you as you stretch and reach sideways instead of holding you square to the desk.
The Harmonic 2 tilt is built around the body's natural pivot points, so the chair moves in tandem with you through a range of postures rather than tipping you back in one plane. The Mirra was first introduced in 2003; the Mirra 2 that replaced it is 30% lighter than the original.

Butterfly Suspension Back
The Butterfly Suspension back combines a fabric-and-polymer backrest with a self-contouring membrane, mapped to the body's anatomy. The zones of support come from the size, shape and pattern of the perforations, so the upper back can flex while the lumbar region holds firm, and air moves through it all day.
Underneath, PostureFit supports the spine at its lowest point, the sacrum, and braces the pelvis so you do not slide into a slouch as the hours pass. On this model Herman Miller's adjustable lumbar option is fitted.
Harmonic 2, AireWeave and FlexFront
Tilt, Seat and Depth
Lean back and the Harmonic 2 tilt meets your weight progressively; the tilt limiter lets you cap the recline, and the seat-angle adjustment tips the seat forward for focused work. Set it once and the chair follows you between upright typing and a laid-back call.
The AireWeave suspension seat conforms to your shape and spreads your weight without foam, so heat does not build up under you, and the FlexFront edge adjusts the seat depth from 41 to 46 cm so shorter and taller people can both sit properly supported.

We stock the Mirra 2 in Graphite with the Butterfly Suspension back and every adjustment fitted: adjustable lumbar, FlexFront seat depth, fully adjustable 4D arms and the tilt limiter with seat angle. It is the configuration most buyers end up specifying once they have sat in the basic one.
It is a genuine Herman Miller product, brand new, supplied as an international parallel import. That describes the supply route, not the chair: the cover on it is our own 12-year Chair Dinkum warranty, handled in Sydney, rather than Herman Miller's.

Chair Dinkum provides a 12-year warranty on all Mirra 2 chairs we sell. This covers the frame, tilt mechanism, gas lift cylinder, base, armrest structure, and Butterfly suspension back under normal commercial use (8 hours per day, 5 days per week). If any covered component fails within the warranty period, contact us directly and we will resolve it.

It arrives fully assembled in protective packaging: open the box, place it at your desk and sit down. Set seat height first so your feet are flat, then seat depth so two or three fingers fit between the seat edge and the back of your knee, then arm height so your shoulders are relaxed.
