The Buro Metro is the chair Buro built for a whole floor: a breathable fine-mesh back with a contoured lumbar curve, a padded seat, three levers for height, seat tilt and back tilt, a ratchet back height, and a seat slide that sets the depth from 455 to 505 mm. Buro rates it to 180 kg for 8 hours a day and backs it for 10 years.
This is the SS version, with the seat slide; Buro also lists it as its ergonomic performance chair, defined by comfort and durable quality.

Breathable Fine-Mesh Back
A soft-feel, breathable fine-mesh back with a contoured lumbar curve, 530 mm high and 470 mm wide. The lumbar is contoured rather than adjustable and there is no headrest.
Three Levers and a Ratchet Back
A 3-lever mechanism for seat height, seat tilt and back tilt, plus a ratchet back height. Seat height runs 480–610 mm.
A Seat Slide for Depth
The SS version has the seat slide, setting seat depth from 455 to 505 mm over a padded seat 520 mm wide. In Buro's naming, SS is seat slide.
Arms Are Optional
Buro sells the chair with or without height and width adjustable arms. Arms help if you rest your forearms while typing or push up out of the chair; leave them off if it has to roll under a low desk.
Nylon or Aluminium Base
The black nylon base is Buro's standard; the polished aluminium base is the same chair on a brighter base. Both run 60 mm twin-wheel castors.

Base and Arms
This Listing
Choose the base and the arms. The black nylon base is Buro's standard; the polished aluminium base is the same chair on a brighter base. Height and width adjustable arms are optional. The seat is black fabric and the back black mesh on every variant. Buro's model codes are 202-N-M3-SS for the nylon base and 202-M3-SS for aluminium, with an A for arms; our SKUs follow that convention.

Why We Stock It
Buro Seating was founded in 1994 in New Zealand by David Boyd and Chris Berry, opened its Brisbane office in 2009, has a Sydney showroom, and was acquired by ACCO Brands in March 2025. Buro says it was the first to offer a 5-year and then a 10-year chair warranty, and it publishes a specification sheet, an ergonomic assessment, line drawings and AFRDI certificates for each chair.
