The HÅG unblocking tool is required to remove a gas lift from any HÅG Capisco base. It fits between the gas lift cylinder and the base mechanism, allowing you to separate the two parts without damaging either component.
You will need this tool if you are replacing your gas lift with a different height, or if you need to disassemble your chair for moving or servicing.
How to use
- Turn the chair upside down so the base faces up
- Place the unblocking tool around the gas lift cylinder where it meets the base
- Tap firmly with a rubber mallet or hammer to release the gas lift from the base
- The gas lift will drop free from the mechanism
