Separating the base and gas lift

The gas lift sits in the star base on a tight tapered fit. When you replace a base or a cylinder, the two have to come apart, and on a chair that has been in daily use for years that fit can be very tight.

This genuine Flokk service tool is for that job. It is a fleet tool rather than a household one: if you are servicing one chair, ring us first, because a mallet often does it. Flokk advises against removing plastic parts or opening the seating mechanism, so leave that to us.
