The Freedom uses a counterbalance mechanism that reads your body weight when you sit down and calibrates the recline resistance accordingly. This means the chair always feels perfectly balanced when you lean back, not too stiff, not too loose, without any manual adjustment. It works for people from about 45kg to 136kg.
The Freedom is available in two configurations: with and without a headrest. The headrest version features Humanscale's pivoting headrest that moves with you as you recline, providing continuous neck support.
