Ergotron's heavy-duty HX monitor arm for one screen of 9.1 to 19.1 kg and up to 49 inches. Constant Force lift through 29.2 cm, up to 59.4 cm of extension, VESA 75/100/200, desk clamp and grommet mount included, and Ergotron's 10-year warranty.
Made for Heavy Screens
Many monitor arms are rated to around 9 kg. The HX starts there: Ergotron rates it for one screen of 9.1 to 19.1 kg and up to 49 inches, the weight of a large ultrawide or a heavy professional display.
It gives 29.2 cm of lift, tilts 70° up and 5° down, pans through 360° at the extension and reaches out to 59.4 cm, with VESA 75, 100 and 200 mm patterns supported.
Heavy Screen, Light Touch
Ergotron's Constant Force™ mechanism balances the screen on a spring, so the effort to move it stays small and even through the whole range. A big curved screen can be pulled forward for detail work and pushed back again with one hand.
Both a desk clamp and a grommet mount are in the box, and the arm folds back when you want the desk clear.

Figures are from Ergotron's HX Desk Monitor Arm specification sheet (2022) and HX Dual dimension drawing (rev. 13 Feb 2024). Ergotron does not publish the arm's own weight. Weigh your screen without its stand. Displays deeper than 15.2 cm are rated to 12.7 kg on the standard pivot; Ergotron's HX Heavy-Duty Tilt Pivot (98-540-216) is required above that.
Check the Depth, Not Just the Weight
Very wide curved screens sit their weight further from the arm. Ergotron's sheet rates displays deeper than 15.2 cm at up to 12.7 kg on the standard pivot. For deep curved screens of 12.7 to 19.1 kg, such as Samsung's 49-inch Odyssey G9, Ergotron's HX Heavy-Duty Tilt Pivot (98-540-216) is required.
Send us your screen model on 02 9640 0642 and we will tell you whether you need the heavy-duty pivot before you order.
This Model
This listing is the Ergotron HX Desk Monitor Arm in matte black (45-475-224), with desk clamp and grommet mount both included. It supports VESA 75, 100 and 200 mm patterns.
Two screens of up to 32 inches? See the HX Desk Dual. A screen of 10 kg or less suits the lighter LX Pro Desk Arm.
Why We Stock the Ergotron HX
We stock the HX because it starts where most arms stop: Ergotron rates it from 9.1 kg up to 19.1 kg, for heavy ultrawides and professional displays beyond the rating of most standard arms. Its Constant Force™ lift keeps a big screen light to move, and Ergotron tests it to 10,000 motion cycles.
Ergotron's warranty terms give 10 years on HX products, and claims are handled by Chair Dinkum in Sydney on 02 9640 0642. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law for faulty or damaged goods are separate and are not limited by it.

Frequently Asked Questions
If the screen weighs 9.1 to 19.1 kg without its stand and has 75, 100 or 200 mm VESA holes, it is within Ergotron's rating. A screen lighter than 9.1 kg will not hold position on this arm: for those, see the LX Pro Desk Arm.
Only for deep curved screens. Ergotron rates displays deeper than 15.2 cm at up to 12.7 kg on the standard pivot; between 12.7 and 19.1 kg, a deep curved screen such as Samsung's 49-inch Odyssey G9 needs the HX Heavy-Duty Tilt Pivot (98-540-216). Ask us to add it.
Both a desk clamp and a grommet mount are included. With a heavy screen, the desk itself matters: it needs a solid top and a clear back edge. Call 02 9640 0642 with your desk details before you order.
We list the matte black HX (45-475-224). Ergotron also makes a white version (45-475-216); call 02 9640 0642 and we will check availability.
