Colebrook Bosson Saunders Ollin Dual

One Fixing, Two Screens

The OLN/DMB/001 dual mount bar carries two Ollin arms from a single post, so a dual setup takes one clamp rather than two.

No Minimum Weight

Each arm still balances 0 to 9 kg on its technical cord, so a light second screen behaves as well as the main one.

12-Year Warranty

CBS warrants the Ollin for 12 years, and Chair Dinkum handles any claim in Sydney.

CBS Ollin dual mount bar

The Bar Does the Work

The Ollin dual is two Ollin arms (OLN/009/010) mounted on CBS's dual mount bar (OLN/DMB/001), which sits on a single post and a single desk fixing. One hole or one clamp, two screens — which matters on a desk with a thick edge beam, a glass top or only one usable mounting point.

Each arm keeps its own cord mechanism, so both screens still balance from 0 to 9 kg with no minimum, reach 674 mm and rotate to portrait at the head. The bar itself is supplied in black regardless of the arm finish you choose.

The Mechanism

A Cord, Not a Spring

The Ollin balances on a technical cord rather than a coil spring or a gas strut. The practical consequence is the bit that matters: there is no minimum weight. A spring arm set for a 6 kg monitor will fling a 1 kg tablet at the ceiling; the Ollin will hold it. CBS publishes the range as 0 to 9 kg, which is why this is the arm that ends up under laptop trays, tablets, point-of-sale screens and light panels as well as ordinary monitors.

It also has the longest reach in the CBS range at 674 mm, so it will cross a deep desk without the post having to sit in the middle of it.

The Details

Five Things That Make It an Ollin Dual

The dual mount bar, the cord mechanism, the reach, the optional handle and the single cable run.

One Fixing, Two Screens

The OLN/DMB/001 dual mount bar carries both Ollin arms from a single post, so a dual setup takes one clamp rather than two. That matters on a glass top, a thick edge beam, or a desk with one usable mounting point.

A Cord, Not a Spring

Each arm still balances on a technical cord rather than a coil spring, so there is no minimum weight and a light second screen behaves as well as the main one. CBS publishes 0–9 kg per arm.

674 mm of Reach, Twice

Each arm keeps the longest reach in the CBS range at 674 mm, with 367 mm of vertical travel, a 180° or 360° stop and fingertip portrait rotation at the head.

The Optional Handle

CBS makes a handle for the dual bar. On a shared or hot desk it is the difference between people grabbing a screen bezel to move the pair and grabbing something designed to be grabbed. Ordered separately.

Cables Down One Post

Three-point cable management on each arm feeds into the bar and then down the single post, so a two-screen desk ends up with one loom at the back instead of two.

Accessories

The Optional Handle

CBS makes a handle for the dual bar. On a shared or hot desk it is the difference between people grabbing a screen bezel to move the pair and grabbing something designed to be grabbed — bezels are where screens get cracked.

There are also optional universal VESA plates if you want both screens to rotate to portrait. Both are ordered separately; call 02 9640 0642.

Cable Management

Cables Down One Post

Three-point cable management on each arm feeds into the bar and then down the single post, so a two-screen desk ends up with one loom at the back instead of two. It is the visible difference between a dual setup that looks designed and one that looks improvised.

Why We Stock It

Colebrook Bosson Saunders has been designing monitor arms in London since 1990 and is now part of MillerKnoll. Its arms turn up in the fit-outs where somebody cared: the mechanism is quiet, the cable route is properly thought through, and the 12-year warranty says what CBS thinks of its own tolerances.

We stock CBS because it sits in the gap between a cheap arm that sags in a year and a Humanscale at twice the price, and because the desk fittings are shared across the range — so a floor with Flo and Ollin arms takes one set of spares. Call 02 9640 0642 for a floor quote, or visit our Pyrmont showroom at 1/209 Harris Street to see what is on the floor.

All figures are Colebrook Bosson Saunders' own, from its Ollin and Ollin dual product pages linked above. CBS publishes no recycled-content figure for the Ollin and no separate weight for the dual mount bar. Warranty terms are on CBS's site and our warranty page. CBS lists the dual as the Ollin arm plus the OLN/DMB/001 bar and does not publish a separate weight or a combined load figure for the bar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check three things: the screen's weight in kilograms (the number that matters most), its VESA hole pattern on the back, and your desk's thickness where the clamp goes. The weight range is in the specifications above; almost every office monitor is VESA 75 × 75 or 100 × 100. CBS gives 0 to 9 kg per arm, with no minimum, so both screens need to sit inside that. If your screen has no VESA holes, a VESA adapter plate is usually available for it — send us the model on 02 9640 0642 and we will check before you order.

The bar takes one desk fixing and keeps both screens on one post, which is what you want on a glass top, a thick-edged desk or anywhere with a single usable mounting point. Two separate Ollin arms give each screen its own post and a wider spread, which suits a big desk. Tell us the desk on 02 9640 0642 and we will say which fits.

The Ollin head rotates to portrait as standard. For the dual configuration CBS offers optional universal VESA plates that make portrait rotation practical on both screens at once; they are ordered separately. Call 02 9640 0642 and we will add them.

Measure the desk where the arm will go. The split clamp takes 0 to 65 mm and is the default; the top-mount clamp takes 12 to 25 mm and sits more discreetly; the grommet fitting takes 10 to 35 mm and goes through an existing cable port. If the desk has a thick edge beam or a return in the way, send us a photo on 02 9640 0642 and we will tell you which one works.

Ten minutes with the supplied hex key for one arm. The clamp or grommet fitting goes on the desk first, the post drops in, the arm slides on, then the screen clips to the VESA plate. The only step worth doing carefully is setting the spring tension to the screen's weight before you let go of it — the instructions cover it and the specifications above list the adjustment.

Colebrook Bosson Saunders publishes a 12-year warranty on this arm against defects in materials and workmanship in normal use. Claims come to Chair Dinkum on 02 9640 0642 and we lodge and manage them. Full terms are on Colebrook Bosson Saunders's site and our warranty page, and your Australian Consumer Law rights apply in addition.

Yes — visit our Pyrmont showroom at 1/209 Harris Street to see what is on the floor, and we can put a screen on an arm so you can feel the movement before you commit to a floor's worth. Call 02 9640 0642 first so we can have the one you want set up.
