Chair Dinkum provides a 12-year warranty covering the frame, mechanism, gas lift, base, armrest structure and suspension materials, for 24/7 use. This chair is a genuine Herman Miller product supplied as an international parallel import, so warranty support is provided directly by Chair Dinkum in Sydney rather than through Herman Miller's registration process. Full terms are on our warranty page.

This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Built for Long Sessions

An extra layer of seat foam for the upright posture of play, and a copper-infused cooling foam layer to keep heat from building up underneath you.

Herman Miller x Logitech G

Engineered for How You Play

The Embody was designed by Bill Stumpf and Jeff Weber as a chair that supports the body the way the body is built, and it has been one of Herman Miller's best-known task chairs since it was introduced. The Gaming edition, developed with Logitech G, keeps everything that makes it work and changes the one thing gamers sit on: the seat.

An additional layer of foam supports the upright, forward-leaning posture of play, and a copper-infused cooling foam layer is there to stop heat building up during a long session. Under it is the same Pixelated Support system, the same Backfit spine and the same tilt as the office chair.

The Seat

Pixelated Support

Sit in an Embody and you sit on a matrix of pixels. Herman Miller's Pixelated Support is a highly engineered layer in both the seat and the back that spreads pressure across your body rather than concentrating it under your sit bones and lumbar, which keeps blood flowing and heat moving through a long session.

The seat itself is four layers: elastic suspension and support coils that move independently under you, the gaming edition's extra foam, and the cooling foam on top. It is a seat built for hours, not for the first five minutes in a showroom.

Backfit

A Spine That Moves With You

The Embody's backrest is a central spine with flexible ribs, and from behind, in Black and Cyan, you can see exactly how it works. The ribs flex as you move, so the back follows you when you lean into a match and settles back with you when you relax.

Backfit adjustment lets you tune that spine to the natural curve of your own back, so the support sits where your lumbar actually is rather than where a fixed pad happens to be. Set it once and it holds.

Black and Cyan

This Model

We stock the Embody Gaming Chair in Black and Cyan: black Sync fabric on the seat and back, cyan accents on the spine, a black die-cast aluminium frame and five-star base, height- and width-adjustable arms, tilt limiter, seat depth adjustment and Backfit.

It is a genuine Herman Miller product, brand new, supplied as an international parallel import. That describes the supply route, not the chair: the cover on it is our own 12-year Chair Dinkum warranty, handled in Sydney, rather than Herman Miller's.

Why We Stock It

We stock the Embody Gaming Chair because it is the one gaming chair we can also recommend to someone who works from the same desk all day. It is an ergonomic task chair first, rated for users up to 136 kg, and the gaming edition's seat suits the upright posture that most desk work shares with play.

You can sit in one alongside the Aeron and the office Embody at our Pyrmont showroom. If you are deciding between them, call 02 9640 0642 and we will talk it through before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is the Embody task chair, developed with Logitech G for the way people sit when they play. Herman Miller kept the frame, the Pixelated Support back and seat, the Backfit spine and the tilt, and changed the seat: an additional layer of foam supports the more upright, active posture of gaming, and a copper-infused cooling foam layer is there to prevent heat build-up over a long session. The Black and Cyan colourway is specific to the gaming range. Everything you adjust is the same as on the office Embody.

Yes. It is a genuine, brand-new Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody Gaming Chair, supplied as an international parallel import, which describes the supply route rather than the product. Because it is sourced outside Herman Miller's authorised Australian channel, serial registration with Herman Miller is not available and Herman Miller's own warranty does not apply. The cover on it is our own 12-year Chair Dinkum warranty, handled here in Sydney; full terms are on our warranty page. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply in addition.

Chair Dinkum provides a 12-year warranty on all Embody chairs we sell. This covers the frame, tilt mechanism, gas lift cylinder, base, armrest structure, and Pixelated Support suspension under normal commercial use (8 hours per day, 5 days per week). If any covered component fails within the warranty period, contact us directly and we will resolve it.

The seat height runs from 41 to 52 cm and the seat depth adjusts from 38 to 46 cm, and Herman Miller rates the chair for users up to 136 kg (300 lb). The arms adjust for height and width. It is a substantial chair at 23.5 kg, which matters if it is going up stairs. If you are outside that range or unsure, you are welcome to sit in one at our Pyrmont showroom; call 02 9640 0642 first so we have one on the floor.

Herman Miller describes the seat's copper-infused cooling foam as there to prevent heat build-up, and the Embody's open Pixelated Support back lets air move through it, which is the main reason the Embody runs cooler than a padded bucket-style gaming chair. We don't publish temperature figures because Herman Miller doesn't; if you run warm, the honest test is twenty minutes in one at the showroom.

It arrives fully assembled in protective packaging: open the box, place it at your desk and sit down. Set the seat height so your feet are flat, the seat depth so two or three fingers fit between the seat edge and the back of your knee, then dial the Backfit so the backrest follows the curve of your lower back, and set the tilt limiter for how far you want to lean back between rounds. If you would like a hand choosing between this and the office Embody or the Aeron, call 02 9640 0642.
