The LiberNovo Omni Gen is the current version of the Omni: the same segmented, spine-shaped backrest and electric lumbar as the original, now with five recline positions, armrests that slide back as you lean, a longer-travel headrest and a thicker front seat edge. We hold Graphite and Glacier in the 48cm seat depth in our Sydney warehouse.
A Backrest That Moves With Your Spine
The Omni Gen's Bionic FlexFit backrest is built in segments rather than as one rigid shell, so it keeps contact with your back as you shift position. The headrest, backrest and armrests are linked into the same movement, which means leaning back doesn't open a gap behind your lower back.
Differential tilt is the detail most people notice first: the headrest and backrest tilt at different rates as you recline, so your eyes stay on the screen instead of drifting up to the ceiling.
Five Positions, From Focus to Flat
Recline locks at 105°, 115°, 125°, 135° and 160°. The first three cover a normal working day; 135° is a proper break; 160° is as close to lying down as an office chair gets.
The armrests slide back up to 100mm as you recline, so your forearms stay supported in every position rather than hanging off the front of the pads.
Recline, Stretch, Recover
OmniStretch drives the electric lumbar pad forward in a slow cycle while you lie back, giving your lower back a gentle stretch at the end of a long sitting day. Lumbar depth itself is set from a button on the armrest: you are in control of it, not a sensor.
Power comes from a removable 2,200mAh battery that LiberNovo rates at up to 30 days of daily use, or around a year with occasional adjustments. It charges over USB-C from a 5V/2A charger (cable not included), and every mechanical function keeps working if it runs flat.
Ergonomics That Move With You
We have sold the original Omni from our Sydney warehouse since early 2026, and the Omni Gen is the current version: same dynamic backrest, a five-position recline and sliding armrests. It suits people who move a lot through the day and want a chair that follows them rather than one that fixes them in place.
It comes in one seat depth, 48cm. If you have long thighs for your height, or you sit between sizes, call us on 02 9640 0642 before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Omni Gen keeps the original's segmented backrest, electric lumbar and OmniStretch, and refines the parts owners touch most. Recline now locks in five positions (105°, 115°, 125°, 135° and 160°) instead of four. The armrests go lower and travel further, the headrest moves further in height, depth and tilt and releases quickly, the pivots sit further back, and the front edge of the seat has thicker padding with a raised lip. LiberNovo's figures, not ours.
Graphite is a dark grey fabric on a black frame and suits most offices. Glacier is a light grey-white fabric on a white frame; it looks striking in a bright room but, like any light upholstery, shows marks sooner. Both are the same chair underneath.
We stock the 48cm seat depth, which is the only Omni Gen depth sold in Australia. It is fixed: there is no seat slider. LiberNovo rates the chair for people from about 153cm to 186cm. If you are near either end of that range, or have long thighs for your height, call us on 02 9640 0642 before ordering.
LiberNovo quotes 136kg under the American BIFMA X5.1 standard and 110kg under the European EN 1335 standard. The figures differ because the tests differ. If you are over 110kg, talk to us first; the LiberNovo Maxis is built for bigger users.
A removable 2,200mAh battery powers the electric lumbar and the OmniStretch cycle. LiberNovo rates it at up to 30 days of daily use. It charges over USB-C from a 5V/2A charger; a cable is not included. If the battery runs flat, recline, seat height, armrests and the backrest all keep working. Only the powered lumbar stops until you recharge.
No. This listing is the chair only. A footrest makes the 160° recline far more useful; call us if you would like one with your order.
Chair Dinkum warrants the Omni Gen for five years on the frame and two years on the motor and electronics, with claims handled by us in Sydney. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply on top and are not limited by our warranty.
