The rating is the same Class A, 30 DS,A dB under ISO 23351-1 as both single-person booths. Framery does not trade speech privacy away to fit four people in. What changes between models is capacity, footprint and fit-out, not acoustics.

The ventilation is the genuine step change. Adaptive ventilation to 100 L/s is close to three times the 36 L/s of the One Compact and nearly four times the 26 L/s of the Framery One — and it needs to be, because four people in a sealed room generate roughly four times the load of one. Adaptive means it responds to occupancy rather than running flat out, which is why the draw is 52 W rather than four times the Framery One's 28 W.

The four layouts — decide this early

  1. Base. The pod is left clear for your own furniture. Choose this when you are matching an existing fit-out palette, or when a workplace designer has already specified the loose furniture.
  2. Lite. A full-size table and two sofas. The layout for informal meetings, one-to-ones and small huddles.
  3. Essentials. The Lite arrangement plus coat hooks and cushions.
  4. Accessible. Folding furniture, a pull bar, an accessible threshold and a platform.

Layout is not a finishing decision you can defer. It changes the price, the power and display provisioning, and — in the case of Accessible — the physical threshold and platform. Settle it before the order goes in, not on the floor at installation.

If accessibility is a requirement on your project, the Accessible layout is the only configuration in the entire Framery range built for it. Neither single-person booth offers an equivalent. If your brief includes an accessible meeting space, the Framery Four in Accessible layout is the answer by elimination, and it should be raised with your access consultant at design stage rather than assumed.

Who it suits

  1. Small meetings that currently take a full meeting room. Two to four people booking a twelve-person boardroom for a half-hour catch-up is the problem this pod solves.
  2. Hybrid video meetings. The central table with display mount is the only screen-ready configuration in the range.
  3. Floors with no enclosed rooms. Warehouse conversions and open tenancies where building a meeting room means a construction project.
  4. Projects with an accessibility requirement, via the Accessible layout.
  5. Longer sessions. Adaptive ventilation to 100 L/s is what makes a four-person hour inside a sealed pod tolerable.
  6. Fit-outs that want the pod to match the scheme. The Base layout lets your designer specify the furniture.

Who it does not suit

  1. Phone calls. This is the expensive mistake we see most often. A $31,800 four-person pod used as a call booth is over-provisioned by roughly two and a half times, and it will be occupied by one person while three seats sit empty and someone else waits. The same budget buys two One Compacts and a Framery One, serving three people at once.
  2. Tight floor plans. At 3.04 m² it takes very nearly the floor area of three One Compacts. On a plan where area is the binding constraint, the arithmetic rarely favours it.
  3. More than four people. Capacity is four. A fifth person standing in the doorway defeats the acoustic rating, which is measured with the door shut.
  4. Rooms under 238 cm. And note how little tolerance there is: the pod stands 232.9 cm into a 238 cm minimum, about 5 cm of clearance — the tightest ratio of the three models. The One Compact has roughly twice that margin.
  5. Buildings with a constrained delivery route. At 235.2 cm wide this is a genuinely large object to move through an occupied building. Where the goods lift or the dock will not take it, no amount of planning fixes it. Check this before you price anything else.
  6. Buyers expecting Base to arrive furnished. Base is deliberately empty. If nobody has budgeted the loose furniture, a Base pod lands on site as an empty room.
  7. Accessibility briefs where the layout was not specified. Only the Accessible layout carries the pull bar, accessible threshold and platform. A Lite or Essentials pod cannot be converted to meet an access requirement after delivery.

Site planning for the Framery Four

Delivery route — do this first. This is the model where the route, not the floor plan, most often decides the project. Measure and record: dock height and access, goods lift internal dimensions and door opening, every doorway on the path, corner turning space, and any security escort or after-hours restriction. A 235.2 cm wide pod does not negotiate a tight corner, and discovering that after the container lands is expensive.

Room height. Confirm 238 cm against a measured site dimension at the intended position, not a reflected ceiling plan. With roughly 5 cm between the pod top and the minimum, a sprinkler head or a duct run that is not where the plan shows it will move the pod.

Door swing and circulation. Allow the door arc clear of pedestrian routes, accessible paths, fire equipment and exits. Four people arrive and leave together, so allow gathering space outside the door as well — a Four positioned tight against a circulation route creates a bottleneck the single-person booths never do.

Floor loading. The heaviest pod in the range. On a suspended slab or above a basement, get a structural opinion before you commit to a position. That is a question for your engineer, not for us, and it is worth asking early because relocating a Framery Four is not a trivial exercise.

Power and display. The pod draws 52 W and the display mount means someone has to decide who supplies, mounts and cables the screen. Settle that with IT and AV at design stage, alongside the layout choice.

Placement. Near the teams who will book it. A meeting pod in a far corner is a storage cupboard with a table in it.

Warranty — per component, and conditional

Framery's warranty is widely quoted as a flat five years. It is not. Cover is applied per component:

  1. 5 years — structure and standard parts
  2. 2 years — wear parts: gas lifts, levelling gliders, fabrics, felt, carpet, the door, door seals, hinges and locks
  3. 2 years — electronics: LED lighting, fans, power and USB chargers, wireless chargers, screens, motion sensors, motor-driven height adjustment
  4. 1 year — Framery Connect sensors

This split matters most on the Framery Four, because the Four carries the most in the short-cover bands. The adaptive ventilation fans, any screen on the display mount, motion sensors and the chargers all sit under electronics at two years. The sofa and cushion fabrics, the carpet, the door, door seals, hinges and locks sit under wear parts at two years — and a four-person pod in daily use cycles its door far harder than a call booth does. Framery Connect sensors carry one year. Five years covers the structure.

Two conditions decide whether any cover exists at all. The warranty must be activated by completing Framery's installation report form, and the pod must be installed by a Framery-trained installer. If either is missed, Framery is not obliged to remedy defects. Defects must be notified within 21 days of discovery, and software is supplied without warranty.

On a five-figure asset with adaptive ventilation and integrated electronics, letting a general fit-out crew assemble it to save a few hundred dollars can leave the most expensive components uncovered from the day it is switched on. Where we install, we complete the report and use Framery-trained installers, so cover is live from handover. Whoever you buy from, require the completed installation report as a handover deliverable alongside the O&M documentation. Full terms are on our warranty page. New South Wales compliance

Building Commission NSW practice advice issued 24 January 2025 states that office pods are rooms rather than furniture, and that their installation is to be treated as building work. No other state has published equivalent advice. The advice specifically names the risk that a pod may attenuate the building's occupant warning system — a pod good enough for Class A speech privacy is also good at muffling an alarm, so expect that to be tested with the door shut. That question is sharper on the Framery Four than on a call booth, because four people can be inside it with the door closed for an hour at a time. We supply the technical documentation, dimensions, weights and power requirements your consultants need; the certification questions belong to your building surveyor or fire engineer.

Indicative pricing is from $31,800. Final pricing depends on the layout you choose, finish, connectivity options, delivery location, site access and installation scope — layout is the largest single variable on this model. Lead times vary with Framery's production schedule and freight from Finland, so we quote them per order rather than publishing a number we might not hold to.
