Framery Australia
Framery Australia — Authorised Dealer
Chair Dinkum is an authorised Australian Framery dealer. We supply, deliver and install the full Framery range nationally from our base in Pyrmont, Sydney, and we handle the part most suppliers skip: the installation report that actually activates your warranty.
This page covers the three models, what they cost, what the warranty really says, and what your building certifier will want to know before you order. If you would rather talk it through, call 02 9640 0642.
The range
All three pods are rated Class A, 30 DS,A dB speech level reduction under ISO 23351-1. That is the standard that measures the assembled pod — walls, door seals, glazing and ventilation path together — with a speech source at the height of a real person's mouth. It is the only figure worth comparing between brands, and we explain why in our guide to comparing acoustic pods.
Framery One Compact — from $14,200
One person. Exterior 225 × 103 × 100 cm, a floor footprint of 1.03 m², minimum room height 235 cm. Maximum airflow 36 L/s. Fold-out desk, power outlet and USB charging.
This is the one to specify when floor area is the binding constraint — corridors, alcoves, touchdown zones. One specification surprises people: the Compact moves more air than the full Framery One, 36 L/s against 26 L/s, into a smaller internal volume. Ventilation is not the reason to step up to the larger booth.
Framery One — from $19,600
One person. Exterior 225.5 × 122 × 100 cm, footprint 1.22 m², minimum room height 240 cm. Maximum airflow 26 L/s, 28 W. Sit-stand desk, integrated LED lighting, power and USB charging, Framery Smart connectivity.
The extra 19 cm of width over the Compact buys interior space and the sit-stand desk. Specify it where people work inside the pod for longer stretches rather than ducking in for a call.
Framery Four — from $31,800
Up to four people. Exterior 232.9 × 235.2 × 129.2 cm, footprint 3.04 m², minimum room height 238 cm. Adaptive ventilation to 100 L/s, 52 W. Central table with display mount, power and USB charging.
Four interior layouts: Base leaves the space clear for your own furniture, Lite adds a full-sized table and two sofas, Essentials adds coat hooks and cushions, and Accessible uses folding furniture, a pull bar, an accessible threshold and a platform. Decide the layout early — it changes the power and display provisioning.
The warranty condition almost nobody tells you about
Framery's warranty is widely quoted as a flat five years. It is not. Cover is applied per component:
- 5 years — structure and standard parts
- 2 years — wear parts: gas lifts, levelling gliders, fabrics, felt, carpet, the door, door seals, hinges and locks
- 2 years — electronics: LED lighting, fans, power and USB chargers, wireless chargers, screens, motion sensors, motor-driven height adjustment
- 1 year — Framery Connect sensors
And two conditions decide whether any of that cover exists at all. The warranty must be activated by completing Framery's installation report form, and the pod must be installed by a Framery-trained installer. If either is missed, Framery is not obliged to remedy defects. Defects must be notified within 21 days of discovery, and software is supplied without warranty.
This is the practical reason to buy through an authorised dealer rather than the cheapest importer. Installation responsibility is a warranty question, not a line item. If a builder or a general furniture crew assembles the pod to save a few hundred dollars, the electronics inside a five-figure asset can be uncovered from the day it is switched on. Where we handle the installation, we complete the report and use Framery-trained installers, so your cover is live from handover.
Whoever you buy from, put this in the specification: name the installer, and require the completed installation report as a handover deliverable alongside the O&M documentation. Full terms for every brand we carry are on our warranty page.
Before you order: what your certifier will ask
Pods are often sold as furniture that needs no approval. In New South Wales that is no longer a safe assumption. Building Commission NSW practice advice issued 24 January 2025 states that office pods are rooms rather than furniture, and that their installation is to be treated as building work. Other states have not published equivalent advice, but a certifier applying similar reasoning would not be unusual.
What that means in practice is that you should expect your certifier to look at fire services, egress and accessibility, room height inside the pod, ventilation and light, and — the one most often missed — whether the pod attenuates the building's occupant warning system. A pod good enough for Class A speech privacy is also good at muffling an alarm. Get it tested with the door shut.
We are furniture people, not certifiers. We will give you the technical documentation, dimensions, weights and power requirements your consultants need, and we will tell you plainly when a question belongs to your building surveyor or fire engineer rather than to us. Our guide to specifying Framery pods for Australian fit-outs covers access, sequencing and multi-pod orders.
Site planning
Measure the delivery route before you order, not after: loading dock, lift dimensions, doorways, corners and any security restrictions. On the floor, allow for the 180-degree door swing and keep the pod clear of pedestrian routes, accessible paths, fire equipment and exits. Confirm the minimum room height against a measured site dimension rather than a reflected ceiling plan, because services are rarely where the plan says they are.
Floor loading is worth a structural opinion on a suspended slab or above a basement — these are heavy objects on a small footprint. And place the pod near the people who need it. A pod tucked into a far corner because it tidied up the floor plan is a pod nobody books.
Pricing and lead times
Indicative pricing is $14,200 for the One Compact, $19,600 for the Framery One and $31,800 for the Framery Four. Final pricing depends on layout, finish, connectivity options, delivery location, site access and installation scope. Lead times vary with Framery's production schedule and freight from Finland, so we quote them per order rather than publishing a number we might not hold to.
For multi-pod orders we will work from your floor plan and give you a delivery and installation sequence alongside the price. Call 02 9640 0642 or use our contact page with your floor plan, the number of pods and your target date.
