LiberNovo Omni SE Dynamic Ergonomic Chair

The Omni SE uses a manual screw-dial lumbar adjustment instead of the motorised system in the standard Omni. That means no battery, no electronics, and no OmniStretch traction cycle. The core ergonomic design is identical: the same Bionic FlexFit backrest, the same linked movement, the same recline range. The SE is the one to choose if you would rather have less that can fail over a ten-year ownership period — and it carries a five-year frame warranty with no shorter electronics warranty attached to it.

As you recline or shift position, the headrest, backrest, armrests and seat move together in one coordinated motion, through 14 dual-connection points and 16 spherical pivots. It is entirely mechanical — there are no sensors and nothing motorised. Rather than forcing you into a fixed posture, the backrest reshapes around whatever position you are in, which matters most in the moment you lean forward to type and a conventional chair abandons your lower back.

The Omni SE suits users between roughly 153cm and 186cm (5'0" to 6'1"), with a maximum load of 136kg (300 lbs) under BIFMA X5.1. Above either figure, the big-and-tall LiberNovo Maxis is the correct chair.

Seat depth comes in 45cm or 48cm and is fixed at purchase — there is no slider and it cannot be changed later. As a rough guide, under about 175cm the 45cm suits most people; above that the 48cm is usually better. The Aeron and the Leap hold you in one well-judged posture. The Omni SE's backrest reshapes mechanically as you move, which is a different proposition rather than simply a better one. The five-position recline to 160 degrees also offers more range than most task chairs.

Yes. The chair arrives partially assembled with the base, gas lift, seat and backrest as separate components. LiberNovo quotes 15 to 20 minutes; in practice allow about half an hour, and the backrest step is easier with a second pair of hands. Tools are included.

Five years on the frame and mechanical components. Because the SE has no electronics, there is no battery or motor cover to run out early — unlike the powered models, which carry two years on their electronics.
