Steelcase Series 2 features a synchronised tilting mechanism. The seat and back work in harmony with each other, keeping the body securely supported in the chair and feet firmly planted on the floor so you can recline without leaving your optimal zone for seeing and reaching your work.
Adaptive seat bolstering conforms to your shape to create instant comfort. Seat depth adjusts to suit your position, and flexible seat edge makes room for movement.
Armrests adjust in four dimensions – height, width, depth and pivot – to support neck and shoulders in postures right for work.
A weight-activated mechanism responds automatically as you sit, keeping the seat and backrest stay synchronized for ergonomic comfort as you recline.
Armrests are designed to remain parallel to your work surface as you move, so you can stay comfortably on task at every angle of recline. Fully adjustable armrests raise up and down, pivot in and out, shift forward and back and side to side, to provide steady support for your arms so your shoulders can remain in a relaxed position.
